This co-op helped me refine my goals. I’ve always been interested in law, technology, and business, this experience tied all three together through soft skills like communication, leadership, and initiative. As a Catholic school student, it also reminded me of the value of service, patience, and being a role model for others.
My dream is to pursue a combined path in Law, Computer Science, and Business Administration; and this co-op reinforced my drive to lead, solve problems, and help others along the way. Whether I’m mentoring a classroom or defending a client someday, I want to bring that same calm, confident and guideing energy.
This experience felt like a crash course in real-world pressure: managing time, talking to people I didn’t know, juggling tasks, and owning my role. All of those are skills I’ll need in university, whether I’m presenting a legal argument, pitching a startup, or collaborating on a software project.
I also learned that it’s normal to be nervous, but letting fear stop you is where you lose. I used to overthink every interaction. Now I’ve learned to just show up, speak up, and figure things out on the fly. Whether I’m explaining complex concepts to a class, leading a team, or walking into a high-stakes conversation, that ability to “just do it,” and do it with confidence, has reshaped how I approach people and opportunities.
